What's New in San Diego?
Toast to the Coast fundraiser
Maquillage Makeup Academy is so excited to be working with Hearts For San Diego for their upcoming Toast To The Coast event on July 14th, 2016! Toast to the Coast is an eco-friendly fundraiser benefiting the San Diego Surf rider Foundation.
Hearts for San Diego is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that assists local charities by organizing FUNdraising events and activities on their behalf. Each event spotlights a different charity and its cause, and provides a fun, friendly atmosphere designed to connect individuals, charities and businesses who share a passion for giving back.
The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of oceans, waves and beaches. They keep our San Diego coastline beautiful through a variety of programs:
· Beach Cleanups
· Rise Above Plastics
· Hold On To Your Butt
· No Border Sewage
· Ocean Friendly Gardens
· Know Your H2O
· Beach Preservation
Be sure to watch us on KUSI for a segment on the event scheduled for 9:40am on Wednesday, July 13th. The makeup will be done by our graduate students for both the TV segment and the Toast to the Coast event on July 14th! La Jolla Fashion Film Festival
Maquillage Makeup Academy will also be providing makeup and hair services at the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival! Hundreds of fashion filmmakers from around the world will be in attendance, packing a 500-seat theater to be enthralled by the top 1% of fashion films produced worldwide.
“From our neighbors in Hollywood to the fashion capitals of the world, we will come together once again to network, make deals, attend seminars and panels, screen films, go to press receptions, participate in after parties, and win awards. The films that make it into the final program will represent some of the most brilliant and creative directors in filmmaking today. Curated from the dynamic and the exploding world of fashion film, are a glimpse of what’s trending in the minds of the world’s top fashion houses, designers, and stylists interpreted through the lens of their filmmaking counterparts.”

Comic-Con
Last but not least we will be providing hair and makeup services to get guests ready for Comic-Con!
Comic-Con International: San Diego is a nonprofit educational corporation dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, comics and related popular art forms, primarily through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture.
We are now taking appointments for guests who need assistance transforming into their favorite character! We will be doing SFX, body painting, and everything in between to make sure you're ready for the convention!

What's New in Atlanta?
Maquillage Makeup Academy has just left our first huge mark in the Atlanta market! We launched our Maquillage Pleiades Lipstick line, as well as our customized palettes that we created with Inglot Cosmetics at The Makeup Show - Atlanta!
During this trip we met some amazingly talented models, designers, photographers and makeup artists! At our booth, Mireille Bertrand and Curtis William Forman created some fabulous Avant Garde makeup that demonstrated the quality of Inglot Cosmetics as well as our Pleiades Lipstick line!

The quality of these images is the same quality that we provide for our students while they're studying at Maquillage Makeup Academy. We go above and beyond for our students so that they have every chance of being a successful working makeup artist after completing our program. This is something that we take great pride in and that no other makeup school is offering!
Maquillage Welcomes a New Team Member!
Maquillage Makeup Academy is thrilled to introduce MiMi J to our team!
MiMi is an accomplished artist, brand influencer and beauty professional. She’s worked on shows such as Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta and VH1′s Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, and has worked with celebs such as Kenya Moore and Angela Simmons. Her work has been featured in various magazine/blogs such as Essence, Runway, Sister 2 Sister, and Jezebel.
She’s successfully launched three businesses:
· P3 Lab – an apparel line
· YouTube channel – Beat & Snatched
· Her latest makeup store – The Glamatory
